Granite Falls
Description
This is a Free Point of Interest. No camping or overnight parking allowed.
Part of Morton NP was part of Yerriyong state Forrest and cleared of its Blackwood and turpentine trees during the 1890's and later. If look carefully you will find tree stumps with springboard holes made by timber workers. There is birdlife including lyrebirds. Spring time the air is filled by the smells of numerous flowering plants including boronia. Granite falls usually only flows during for a short time after rain. The lookout is always beautiful.
