Description
A railway service pit and turn table. The Captains Flat railway line was a 34 km branch line in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, branching off the Bombala line at Bungendore. Operating from 1940 to 1968, it was primarily built to transport lead, zinc, and copper ore from the Lake George Mine. This is a Free Point of Interest. No camping or overnight parking allowed.
