Not sure about weeknights but the place is busy and noisy until midnight. Local kids use this place as a racing track to race and do burn out. It's hard to get a decent sleep. Best to use as a day use area and sleep elsewhere.

No overnight parking in this spot, police do regular drives through because of past hoons. Go 20m down the road opposite Cook Cafe and there is parking there where you can stay overnight. Bays are long as it caters for trailers/boats. Just be careful on Sunday mornings and public holidays no parking from 6am to 12.30 pm for the catamaran club from May to September. Stayed here many times. You do get some traffic so don't park too close to the roundabout.
