Camped up the hill from this area for 1 night, no problems. There were A LOT of other vans around and someone who pitched a tent. Pretty much everywhere in town you see vans parked up at night to camp. There is public toilets and cold shower.

Parked overnight on the hill. At least 4 other vans and slide ons around. Ranger came and said no camping but that she doesn't mind just be gone before she does the rounds in the morning
