Description
This rest area is located on the Monaro Highway 3km North of Cooma and is accessible to vehicles travelling westbound.
Rest areas are a place where you can stop and rest, making your journey safer and more enjoyable. You can stop at a rest area to rest ad manage fatigue however they are not intended as camping sites and stays longer than 24 hours are not permitted.
Facilities include: picnic tables and shelters. There are no toilets.

Nice grassed area off the main area. Covered picnic tables and information board. Little traffic noise but okay. No toilets.

This wasn't a bad place to stay, pulled into the grassy area just off the main rest area. Reasonably quiet from traffic for a rest area.

Good spot for an overnighter. We pulled off onto the grassy area beside the rest stop. Mostly level area. Road was quiet from after 8pm. No rubbish bins or toilets on site. Thanks Cooma for a free,quiet and easy rest area. Just down the road/walking distance from the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre which is well worth the visit and free entry.
