Description
Lake Wyangan offers a delightful setting for a picnic. Take advantage of the sheltered picnic areas or electric barbecue facilities that are found throughout the large grassed reserve. There is ample space for a game of cricket, to ride a bike or enjoy a stroll. A playground area is also available for the children.
The Lake also has an Animal Enclosure which houses deer, kangaroo, goats, emus and an assortment of poultry. Bird watching is also an attraction on the lake.
Free boat ramp access and jetty available.
The lake was formed in 1957 using the remains of a gypsum mine and a natural swamp area.
Free camping is permitted in the camping area south of the day use area.

What a fantastic area the Council has set up for BBQ and picnics and family days. Lots of lawned areas plus animals in compounds. Fabulous

Lovely. Free 3 day stay camp next door. Here are peacocks, chooks, ducks, roosters, goats, 2 emus, next to camp are beautiful deer.
