You can camp on the tarseal by the toilets, we asked the very nice young lady in the general store/pub/service station, if it was alright to park here and she said, yes lots of people do. Very friendly locals, deserve your support.
Unknown Milestone
No longer a camping area as mentioned in previous comments. Rest area with toilets and shelter with picnic tables on the roadside. Telstra 3 bars 4G

On The Road Australia Vanlife
Stayed the night in campervan. Parked on tarmac across from loo. level. Very quiet spot. Shop up the road with fuel, liquor and food. Great stopover.
