Description
Several different walks start from here:
Gorge Stroll (unmarked)
500m return - Easy - 20 mins
An easy walk to the waterhole in the spectacular Trephina Gorge.
Trephina Gorge Ramble (aqua blue arrows)
1km one way - Easy - 20-40 mins one way
You can experience the riverine plant and animal community of the Park by walking through the sandy riverbed connecting the Day Use Area and the Bluff Campground. Bird diversity is particularly high in this habitat
Trephina Gorge Loop (orange arrows)
2 km loop - Moderate - 1 hour
A moderate walk along the rim of the Gorge with scenic views. The track descends into the Gorge and follows the creek back to the trailhead.
Panorama Walk (red arrows)
2.5 km loop - Moderate/Difficult - 1 hour
A moderate to difficult walk overlooking the Park and to Mordor Pound in the north.
Chain of Ponds (green arrows)
3.5km loop - Moderate/Difficult - 1.5 hours
An easy 20-minute walk to the rim of a narrow gorge offers spectacular views. However, some difficult climbing and scrambling is required to continue to the carpark via the gorge (impassable after heavy rain)
Ridgetop Walk (dark blue arrows)
9km one way - Difficult - 5 hours one way
A difficult walk with a sense of isolation, great views and interesting plants. Begin at either end and arrange a vehicle return or walk 8 kms along the road to your staring pout, allowing an extra 2 hours
