Description

The Australian Sea Lion is the most interactive and friendly creature in our ocean! Aboard our tour you will meet the Sea Lion's of Essex Rocks, a colony of about 30. Enjoy a 15 minute boat ride out to the islands before jumping into the shallow and beginner friendly clear blue water* to have a play! Sea Lions are genuinely inquisitive creatures, they are attracted to funny noises, bright colours, and of course - new friends! Our eco friendly and sustainable tour runs daily. We depart first thing in the morning. This is because the Sea Lion's are active in the morning - they are out fishing or the pups are having a play. Later into the day they prefer to stay on the beaches and sun bake the day away, a hard life for some! We choose to run our tours in a way to impact their daily schedule and routine as least as possible. Our boat hangs back away from the island to give them space and safety. After plenty of swimming time, you are welcomed back onto the boat to a hot shower, tea or coffee and a biscuit. Passengers can ride the bow and watch for Dolphins while cruising back into the Marina on conclusion of the tour. We provide Wetsuits, Mask and Snorkels, Fins, and floatation devices. We have a large, comfortable and safe vessel featuring a private bathroom with toilet and hot shower on board. Our crew our qualified professionals with a passion for the ocean and our sea puppy friends! No camping or overnight parking allowed.
