There is parking available across the road and at the end of the court Two of the fence posts near the entry gate have holes in them from the Japanese attack on Darwin in WWII. The holes are visible from the street.

First of all we do not blame the volunteers at all for our terribly unorganized experience, they were very obviously trying to do their best under bad circumstances. I can't write the whole story as it's too long to put into here, but basically we were turned around once because even though we had tickets there was no tour, we turned up the next day with the tour already starting ahead of the alotted time, most of the talk we missed because we were at the back of group, to then hear that the tour was going quickly so a group of architects could catch their flight! Stick to the times mentioned, we wasted 2 mornings, for 10 minutes of talking! Terribly organised and extremely dissatisfied.
