Description

Lasseter's cave is located on the banks of the Hull River. This is the site where Harold Lassiter sheltered while waiting for rescue after a failed expedition. Camping is not permitted from the WA/NT border to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, apart from Docker River.

Very interesting story .. short walk in to view the cave

There are information signs at the carpark and entrance before the cave. Worth a 10 minute break from the drive, kids enjoyed running in the dry creek bed.

Download the Outback Way app - can read offline. Lassiter sheltered in the cave for 25 days in 1931 after his camels bolted. He then died trying to walk back to the Olgas to meet a relief party sent for him
