Fantastic walk with beautiful views - but it's really quite challenging. We left at 4:30am and arrived back at the carpark at 11:00 (including breaks). It's quite steep and rocky for the majority of the 15.8km. We took 4 litres of water for 2 people which was fine for that hour of the day but we would have needed more in daylight. Lovely views but don't underestimate the challenge !

Fantastic hike. Average level of fitness needed. We in our 50's took just under 3hrs there and 2.5hrs back with breaks and chats to other hikers. The views are magnificent. Very windy and cold on way, back not so bad. I'm pretty clumsy on my feet so watched where I was walking the whole time. A real goat track hike. Absolutely brilliant. Well worth the effort.

We definitely recommend the Mount Sonder Summit Walk, it was hard going but totally worth it. The outlook from the summit was totally different to the entire walk. Make sure you pack plenty of water and enjoy the beautiful wildflowers!
