Recommend this spot to watch the sunrise - so serene 300m a bit of an steep incline - worth it though

Nice lookout for the wet season as easily accessible for all cars/caravans. Walk up can be a bit tough depending on the fitness level but worth it. Bring water:)

Ok so my fitness level is not great and we were rushing to get as far up the rock before the sunset but I found this climb a little hard. I'm sure it wouldn't have been the case if I could take my time. When you stop climbing and look around you realise you are standing in the middle of an iconic Kakadu Australian landscape - awe inspiring as the low western sun sets the rock faces in the east alight - wow. It may come as a surprise to discover the view is not of the setting sun but rather of the cliffs to the east. I don't actually know if it's possible to summit the rock you climb. We didn't see anyone attempting to keep climbing. Remember what you climb up before sun set you must climb down afterward lol
