Wow! What an adventure. Driving in along the unsealed track we weren't sure what to expect for the 4wd part, but we were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful it was. We made it most of the way but decided to walk the last 1km as we weren't as comfortable to get up over some of the larger boulders in our car. The walk at Palm Valley was lovely but super hot!!! Definitely need a high clearance 4WD to complete this track. So glad we gave this one a crack!! It's beautiful!

We chose to walk in from the campsite and were glad we did. Our Ford Ranger campervan would have handled it but the risk of doing damage was not worth taking. The Garks on the rocks, including shards of metal, means some may be regretting decision to take vehicle in. Having said that is an awesome 4wd track. We did the longer walk and it was epic. Tough but worth it for the views and experience. All up about 13 kms return from camp.

Just to be very clear, the drive in from the main road is no problem. It is only the drive from the camp ground to Palm Valley that a high clearance vehicle is needed for.
