Half the attractions in Kakadu, including some of the main ones used by the marketing team and advertisements, are closed until July or indefinitely due to cultural reasons. Park pass should be priced to reflect this. Instead they charge peak season rates. Bit of a con.

A good start to our Kakadu experience. Very informative walk around the exhibits and then chat with the rangers about what there is to see.

Kakadu or kakadont - I say Kakadu! A lot of mixed reviews so we were hesitant to go also considering the $80 park pass you need however so glad we did! We were also lucky that most things had also re-opened. We booked as many of the local guided ranger tours as we could which really made the trip for us. A very scenic mix in Kakadu from wetlands, woodlands and monsoon forests, plus animal life. Many great rock art sites (Ubirr, Burrungkuy & Nanguluwur) and Jim Jim Falls was great.
