As much of National Hwy 1 is narrow, please, when pulling over onto the gravel shoulder, please slow down as well. Fast moving vehicles travelling on gravel throw stones and brake passing vehicles windscreens, like ours. We all have somewhere to be. Share the road and treat all uses with Respect and Respect will be shown to you. PULL OFF FOR ANY VEHICLE LARGER THAN YOU.

Beware of goons overtaking in the gravel at 110 kms per hour. We had one while we had pulled over and another girl was going off at some other idiot who nearly caused an accident when we got to Cape Crawford. Some mothers do have em.

Bitumen drops off to gravel and dirt quite dramatically in parts - beware when getting back onto the road that you don't do tyre damage.
