We did the Panarama loop walk by starting along the track in the riverbed to the right of the steps going up. Views were amazing and path started off as a gentle slope leading eventually to the park boundary and rocky outcrops on top of the world. The descent was quite steep in parts with a sheer drop off. Very scary if you are afraid of heights or have weak knees. However it's stunning scenery. The Trephina Gorge loop walk is less intense and also has lovely views. We were lucky to see a Perentie lizard on the path. It was also great walking back along the creek bed to see so many budgies enjoying the small waterhole.

We rated this walk one of the best (2a, 2k). Not tedious at any point and has beautiful views over the sandy gorge from the ridge top. Loved everything about this from the rock climbs and strategic steps to the vegetation. We think the East Macs are just as good as the West Macdonnels!

Such a lovely National Park which we believe to have the nicest walks in this region. We completed the Chains of Ponds, Trephina Gorge and Panorama walk and every single hike did not disappoint. There are toilet facilities available and you can even camp here! Would definitely recommend coming here, there are hikes for all with the most unique views.
