We are not professional walkers/hikers, and found this walk easy enough to do with spectacular views. The walk takes you on to John Hayes Rockhole and you can easily walk via the road back to the campgrounds. If unsure, return the same way. Telstra reception on top of the hill if you need it.

1h30 one way from Trephina Gorge. Lovely walk and handy phone reception. 30 mins cup of tea at the top. 1h slightly steeper down to the chain of ponds junction and 30 mins stunning walk and scramble along the gorge bottom to the rockhole as well, to do the whole ridgeway. A botanic garden up at Turners: perfect silence. Now, lunch and back same way, not missing seeing it again! (Seven hours Trephina to Rock hole via gorge both ways)
