Camping in Bowling Green Bay National Park, 2kms inland from Barratta Creek Boat Ramp, close to a mangrove and creek environment. The camping area can be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicle only, via bush tracks leading towards the creek off Jerona Road in the national park. The camping area is susceptible to tidal influences, especially at high tides. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Sites are unpowered in an open area without separately defined sites. Up to eight people are allowed. Sites are suited for tents only. There are no sites available for caravans or camper trailers (all sizes) or motorhomes. There are no facilities. Campers must be self-sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Fires are prohibited in the park use fuel or gas stoves only. Pets are not permitted. Mobile phone coverage is poor. Estuarine crocodiles inhabit the coastal sections of the park (Cape Cleveland and Bowling Green Bay). Always be croc wise in croc country.
