Mt Isa council wants to close it without consulting with the Camooweal community. Still open at the moment, respect it. ****TEMPORARY CLOSURE BY COUNCIL in coming weeks This is a free campground. It is dog friendly. It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Camping in tents is allowed. PLEASE ensure that there hasn't been any recent or forecast for rains it turns the area and roads to a swamp and many got bogged and stuck for days.
