Lake Houdraman (west side) is a short 5 minute drive from Quilpie. It offers beautiful shady unpowered camping sites all along the edge of the lake. There is a cost to camp on this private property.
Please note that on the other side (called The Lake, Quilpie on WikiCamps) there are powered site's, amenities, licenced bar and a few different accommodation options.
