Description
Camp within Cape Tribulation, Daintree National Park at Noah Beach camping area. The camping area is in coastal lowland forest adjacent to Noah Beach.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. Sites must be booked and paid for before travelling to the camping area. Your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. This camping area has vehicle and camp site size restrictions (see below for more information).
Noah Beach camping area is closed throughout the wet season every year from the first Sunday after New Years Day, reopening on Good Friday. These dates may vary depending on weather and road conditions. The camping area may also be closed after heavy rain events.
The maximum length of stay at this camping area is seven consecutive nights. Due to vehicle and camp site size restrictions the camping areadoes not cater for caravans or larger style campervans.
Noah Creek is a 1km walk south along the beach from the camping area. Crocodiles may be present in any water body, so stay away from the water's edge and be croc wise at all times.
Lace monitors (goannas) are often seen patrolling the camping area for food scraps. Do not feed these or any other native animals and keep food and rubbish secure on the goanna poles provided. Feeding wildlife can cause unnatural population increases, illness and aggressive behaviour.
There are 15 numbered and unpowered sites. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicles. Due to overhanging trees and tight turns, it is not accessible for caravans, large or high campervans or buses (maximum allowable vehicle height is 3.20m)
