Description
North Point campground offers large, grassy, defined sites, many with shade. All sites are marked with totems. Campground is close to surf beach and within walking distance to Honeymoon Bay.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site at all times. All camping permits must be obtained before you arrive on the island (there is no self-registration on site).
The campground is located at the northern tip of the island, between Yellow Patch and Cape Moreton.
The campground can be reached by 4WD only. Four sites are suitable for camper trailers. Although the campground is accessible by 4WD, it is necessary to park a short distance from each camp site. It is not possible to drive onto or beside tent sites.
A maximum of 21 sites are available, all marked with totems. Seasonal closures mean that not all sites will be full all year round.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping, camper trailers and large groups.
Camp site surface: grass.
Facilities: water (treat before drinking), hybrid toilets, cold shower and pedestrian access to surf beach.
Open fires: prohibited.
Generator use: not permitted.
Dogs are not permitted.
Mobile phone coverage: poor and unreliable.
