Ollera Creek Eco Retreat

Campground

Description

Welcome to our beautiful piece of pristine nature where creek runs through to the beach. We are a small & sustainable working cattle property on 6000 acres of private, coastal bush property offering large, shady, secluded camping areas, all waterfront nestled alongside creek or beach. Our creekside sites & southern beach are accessible by 2WD vehicles & vans. Our northern beaches are only accessible by 4WD, campertrailers & tents. We have no amenities & campers must be fully self contained with their own camping toilets. The nearest public dump point is 10km Sth at Bushy Parker Park, near the public toilets. We are a both a wildlife lover & fisherman's delight. You'll see kangaroos, lizards, butterflies, birds & if you're astute enough perhaps even the endangered mahogany glider that famously resides here :) Spot green sea turtles in the lagoons created at low tide & try your luck finding oysters, crabs & fish such as barramundi, mangrove jack, flathead & grunter. Chill out with our cows, fossick for rocks & shells or sit back & gaze at the starlit skies in the glow of your campfire. Have a dip & cool off upstream in the clear fresh waters of Ollera Creek but please beware of our prehistoric friend, the saltwater crocodile that inhabits our beaches & estuary. Pets must be pre-approved but are welcome as long as they are restrained to your campsite. There is a service station just down the road at Bluewater that makes a delicious home-made lunch & if you don't feel like cooking you can catch a great meal & vibe at the iconic Rollingstone Hotel, just 10km from our front gate (a courtesy bus can even be arranged!).
