Description

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Book prior to arrival. This sandy site backs onto rainforest and overlooks Daydream Island. Well shaded, it offers plenty of opportunity to escape other campers as well as connecting to the rest of the island walking tracks accessible at low tide. The campground is loacted on a sandy spit, west of South Molle Island resort, approximately 6km east-north-east of Shute Harbour. The camping area can be reached by boat at mid to high tides and from the island walking track. It is an open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 12 people. Sites are suitable for walk in tent camping. Toilets and picnic tables are available. Open fires and ash-producing stoves are not permitted on national park islands or intertidal lands adjacent to national park islands. Use gas or fuel stoves for cooking. Generators and pets are not permitted.
