New owners Mark and Mandy are excited to welcome all travellers and campers to the Almaden, Railway Hotel. About the town Almaden is a small town located in North Queensland 2 hours west of Cairns. Access to the town and Pub is on sealed roads and is easily accessible to all types of vehicles. Situated between Dimbulah and Chillagoe a scenic drive awaits all visitors with plenty of sight seeing and adventures for all the family. Including the famous Wheelbarrow race in May. About the Pub Built in 1906 the pub is full of history and country charm. Set on two acres of lush parkland the Pub is well known for its cold beer,warm welcomes and great pub food 7 days a week. 26 rooms available for accommodation A traditional bush pub with friendly locals and not a gaming machine in sight. About Our Camping All non powered sites Camp kitchen Camp toliets and showers Water available for filling Jerry cans Pet friendly....please pick up after them Tents and swags welcome Suitable for all types of vehicles Please register at the Pub We operate a $20 voucher system per day for camping which is redeemable at the pub for meals or drinks.
