Description

This centre dates back to 1903 and was the first ambulance station outside Brisbane (first QATB branded building in Qld). It covered a huge working area of almost 70,000 square kilometres (approximately the size of Tasmania). Visitors can view a wonderful collection of Ambulance memorabilia, an original 1943 Ford Ambulance, Ashford litter, uniforms and an enormous number of logbooks recording the cases treated by ambulance officers during the past 100 years. Open Mon Wed Fri 10am-2pm Sun 9am-12pm(April-Sept) by appointment after that No camping or overnight parking.
