Enjoy your experience! ----- Start your day early with a 5am pick-up from your Cairns' accommodation for the 1 hr transfer to Mareeba for the launch point - it's a long enough drive that you can even sneak in an extra snooze! Enjoy the balloon inflation display, watching as the warm air slowly brings the giant balloon to life. Your balloon is part of Australia's largest fleet of hot air balloons and the fun and highly trained crew are there to maximise the enjoyment of your balloon flight. It's just like a balloon festival, every day! Once you're in the basket, rise up and float over the scenic Atherton tablelands with its rainforest fringed mountains and tranquil country landscapes. You'll have time to really breathe in the wide-open spaces, look out for wildlife, and enjoy the fun and unique sensation of floating quietly across the landscape. After about 40-60 minutes of flight time (depending on the winds of the day), you'll return to the launching zone for your landing. Have some laughs as you help the crew with pack-up games. The tour finish time varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise). You can be dropped back to your Cairns accommodation or, with prior notice, head straight to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai, or perhaps a cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements.
