Description

The Strangler Cairn was made by artist Andy Goldsworthy. It is composed of granite blacks shaped together with a strangler fig planted in the top. Over time the roots of the fig should grow down over the cairn. The cairn is reachable by a Grade 3 walk from the north (distances are one-way): Boolumba Creek Camp #3 (and #4) - 2km Boolumba Creek day-use area 4.2km 'allow 2.5h return' Boolumba Creek Camp #1 - 4.9km
