Description

A monument commemorates the 50th anniversary of of the exodus from Saibai. After a combination of wet season rain and king tides flooded Saibai Island, The Saibai Islanders held negotiations with the Queensland Government and the 'Millard' dropped anchor at Muttee Heads with the first group of pioneers.
