Description

Board the Savannahlander in Mount Surprise, then sit back and relax for your two-hour rail journey, winding your way through the heart of cattle country to the quaint outback town of Einasleigh. Your guide will meet you there and take you to the charismatic outback hotel for a refreshment stop before visiting the fascinating Copperfield Gorge. Here you'll learn about the history and geology of the region. On your return bus journey, we'll stop among riverbank trees and boil the billy for afternoon tea. A moderate fitness level is required due to walking, standing, gradients and uneven surfaces. Tours depart 12:00 noon on Thursdays from Easter to mid-October.
