Description
There are 48 sites with over 100 painted wooden bollards made from the timber of old wooden piers. They represent activities and figures from the history of Geelong.
In 1995, the artist Jan Mitchell was commissioned by the City of Greater Geelong to use old timber pier pylons and turn them into works of art. The Geelong Bollard Trail stretches along the Geelong waterfront from Limeburner's Point to Rippleside Park.
Refer to the website for a map of the sites. It takes approximately 2 hours to walk the length of the trail.
