Description

Coastal site on the western side of Peron Peninsula, accessible via short gravel roads suitable for all vehicles. The Shire of Shark Bay manages informal camping with no facilities at this site. You must have a permit which cost $15 per night per vehicle for up to four people. Permits can only be issued on the day that you intend to camp, they DO NOT take advance bookings. Permits are for 24 hours and restricted to ONE NIGHT ONLY per site. To buy a permit, please contact the Shark Bay Discovery and Visitor Centre in person or calling 08 9948 1590 and paying via credit card, please also have your vehicle registration number handy. The sites are patrolled by a Ranger, however you cannot buy the permit from the Ranger. https://www.sharkbayvisit.com.au/about-us/contact There are no formal tracks or boardwalks, but you can explore remote beaches by foot. Camp in designated (cleared) areas only. Quiet hours between 10pm 6am. Camp fires are strictly prohibited. Please do not pull up vegetation . Stay on tracks and do not drive on sandbars. Chemical toilets or port-a-loos are required. Otherwise please ensure that waste is buried. All rubbish must be removed from the site.
