Description

*Expect windy conditions from November - March. Quobba Station is situated at the Southern tip of the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its 'lush and colourful underwater scenery provides a stark and spectacular contrast with the arid and rugged land.' Quobba is a working pastoral station with 80km of harsh, unpredictable and remarkable coastline bordering the Indian Ocean. The Quobba experience includes land based game fishing, isolated beaches, world-renowned surfing, snorkeling, whale watching and abundant marine and native wildlife on the arid outback landscape. Your choice of accommodation ranges from bush camping, fishing shacks and cottages through to beautifully situated chalets overlooking the Indian Ocean. There are multiple caravan and bush camping sites on Quobba. Powered sites provide approximately 10 hours of power through out the day (5am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm). No electrical cooking appliances are allowed, as we produce our own power and do not have the electrical capacity to run cooking appliances. Campsites have access to: - Limited tank Fresh water but none to refill caravan or camper water tanks. - Camp Kitchen (fridge, sink, table and chairs Gas BBQ.) - Laundry - Common ablution block (toilets/solar hot bore water showers) - Daily rubbish collection (please bag your rubbish before putting in bins) - Fire pits (fire wood sold in store, wood collection on Quobba NOT permitted) - Tennis court NO DUMP POINT - nearest is 10km away at The Blowhole.
