Description

Attractive beach camping area in Francois Peron National Park with few facilities but popular with fishing enthusiasts. Campers need to be self reliant at South Gregories, as facilities are basic with only toilets provided. Camping fees apply. No bookings, first come, first served. There is no drinking water so ensure you bring enough for your stay. A high-clearance four-wheel drive is essential to travel beyond the Peron Heritage Precinct. The tracks of deep soft sand offer challenging conditions for drivers. Low clearance vehicles, caravans and large trailers cannot be used on these deeply rutted tracks - only camper trailers and dinghies are suitable. Fishing is popular and whiting, bream and kingfish can all be caught in the area. Dinghies can be launched from the beach with care. No camp fires permit $2000.00 fine Dogs are not permitted.
