NO CAMPING
Under the 1995 Caravan and Camping Grounds Act, camping in the Shire of Ashburton is only allowed;
* In registered camping grounds
* On private property with the approval on the landowner
* At 24hr Main roads rest stops or signed rest areas.
To camp at any other location is an Offence under Regulation R10 of the Act and carries an on the spot fines of $100.
This location is part of the Shire of Ashburton's road reserve and campers found camping in this location will be issued with an on the spot fine as there are now signs on entry stating no camping allowed.
