Description

Maggies Valley was named after Maggie Nicholso who, in the late 1920s, was the first person to drive a vehicle into what is now known as 'Maggies Valley.' From then on the people of Wyndham called the area Maggies Valley. Bird catching was a seasonal job in those days anc the birds would often be sold as far away as London.
