Description

Marvel at the honeycomb cavities eroded into the cliff face, in Kennedy Range National Park. Honeycomb Gorge Trail Honeycomb Gorge is an intriguing feature formed by wind and water spray from a seasonal waterfall above the cliff face. A short walk weaves amongst massive boulders from an old rock fall to a seasonal pool. Distance: 600m return Time: allow 20 - 40 minutes Experience the contrast between the escarpment and the vast plain to the east. Escarpment Base Trail This trail links Temple Gorge campground with Honeycomb Gorge and Sunrise View trails. It has relatively flat terrain and interesting geology. A sandalwood shrub can be observed along this trail. Distance: 5.8km return (from Temple Gorge campground) Time: allow 3 - 4.5 hours Pets are not permitted. No camping or overnight parking.
